How to Care for Cashmere
Your esho funi accessory is a rare work of art, made from 14-16 micron cashmere sourced from Ladakh's high plains and crafted in Kashmir using traditional techniques. Caring for it honors the craftsmanship and nature behind it.

How to wash
- Prolong the life of your cashmere by washing less often.
- When needed, Hand wash in cold water (max. 20°C) using a gentle wool/cashmere shampoo.
- Rinse well in cold water after washing, but avoid wringing. Gently roll the garment in a towel to remove any excess water.
- Reshape your garment while still damp, and dry on a flat surface.
- Store your cashmere folded to prevent stretching.
- If pilling occurs, use a sweater comb or sweater stone to gently remove pills.
-
Detergent
Do not use fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh detergents. This will also minimize any chemicals entering the waterways.
-
Keep in mind
Avoid machine washing, tumble drying, or frequent dry cleaning. Keep away from friction, sharp jewelry, and excessive heat. Do not hang for long periods.
-
Storage
Store flat in a breathable cotton bag, avoiding plastic covers and humid spaces. Use natural moth repellents like cedarwood, lavender, or rosemary nearby.
